What is the NOKHS Pet Pantry?
The NOKHS Pet Pantry exists to support pet owners experiencing temporary economic hardship by providing supplemental pet food assistance. Our mission is to help pets stay in their homes and out of the shelter.
Food Distribution Hours:
Tuesdays and Fridays 1 PM - 4 PM
Location: 900 W Prospect Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601
Important things to note:
● Photo ID is required (with correct address or ID with proof of address, such as a utility bill).
● Food is distributed per household. If multiple people from the same address attempt to receive food for the same pets, the household will be removed from the program.
● Pet Food recipients are able to use assistance 6 month out of a year.
● Dog food limit: up to two (2) pre-filled 10 lb. bags per household per week
*Dependent on the number of dogs in the household*
● Cat food limit: one (1) pre-filled 5 lb. bag per household per week
● Food may be mixed, and we cannot guarantee the same type, or brand will be provided each time. By accepting food from the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society Pet Food Pantry, recipients agree not to hold the pantry, its volunteers, or donors legally responsible in the event a pet experiences illness or digestive upset related to the food provided.
● We will not distribute pet food outside of the designated days and hours listed above.
● Food will be distributed first come, first served while supplies last.
● Pet food is donated to NOKHS, so we cannot guarantee any certain brands, varieties, or diets.
● Assistance is for household companion pets only. We are unable to provide food for community or feral cat colonies. Please contact our TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) Program for assistance with colony feeding at www.nokhs.com/fix-a-feral
● We reserve the right to refuse service.
● This is supplemental support — not intended to cover the full monthly needs of your pets. Donate to Our Pet Food Pantry: This program is made possible through the generosity of our community. If you’re able, please consider contributing a bag of pet food to help support animals in need. All contributions are tax-deductible and deeply appreciated. Donate in-date, sealed bags of dry dog and cat food during hours of operation (listed below).
