VOLUNTEER
Dedicated volunteers charted the course over 60 years ago, held on over bumpy paths and today they continue to carry out our mission while providing services and programs that promote the humane treatment of animals in Northern Oklahoma.
The Northern Oklahoma Humane Society was formed in 1958 as the Ponca City Humane Society, although its roots go back even further.
Since 2017, we take in nearly 1,000 animals per year, due to help from our volunteers. Community support is essential as we receive no funds from the city, county, state and have no affiliation with the Humane Society of the United States. We depend entirely on private contributions and adoption fees to fulfill our mission.
Currently, we are building our volunteer program and you can be a part of this dedicated team that ensures every animal is loved. We offer volunteer opportunities from assisting with feeding animals to fostering an animal in your home.
