PET PANTRY
The Pet Pantry program was created to support Northern Oklahoma Residents in caring for their pets by providing free pet food to those who indicate a financial hardship and meet income guidelines to receive short-term help for their pet. The food distributed is intended to temporarily supplement the pet’s monthly food needs. The program is not intended to be a permanent source of pet food.
The Pet Pantry's mission is to distribute pet food to families in need in order to keep pets and their families together in times of hardship and ensures that people who love their animal companions don’t have to choose between feeding their pets and feeding themselves.

How does it work?

The Northern Oklahoma Pet Pantry is open to any pet owner who is a resident of Northern Oklahoma (Kay County & Western Osage County) and wishes to receive temporary pet food assistance for their pet. Pet owners will be asked to complete an enrollment form and bring proof of residency (photo I.D. and recent utility bill) the first time they come to pick up food. After enrolling the first time, the pet owner will only need to provide their photo I.D. when picking up pet food.

The Pet Pantry operates during regular business hours; pet owners can show up to pick up food for their animals. We are currently open By Appointment Only, but will make exceptions if needed. We do require a face covering to enter our building. Pet owners can come to the Humane Society on Wednesday - Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. to pick up pet food when available. To schedule an appointment to pick up food, please call 580-767-8877 or email info@nokhs.com.
